Even more, what is the relation between thinking, language and technique in our epoch? These initial questions move this paper, in which aims: to analise, from the Heideggerian perspective, the activity of the technological thinking on the modernity. On the one hand, eyes that behold, with the meditative thinking; on the other hand, eyes that calculate, with the calculative thinking. Apart to highlight the existing relation between think and the modern technique, this study also is intent to make evident in which way these implications runs through the question of the essence of language. Therefore, this paper made use mainly of Heidegger's work that dialogues with this theme, such as: Building Dwelling Thinking (2001); Unterwegs zur Sprache [“On the Way to Language“] (2003), The Question Concerning Technology (2012), What is called thinking? (2002), The end of Philosophy and the task of thinking (1966), Serenity (2001)HeideggerPensamentoTécnicaLinguagemOs olhos que calculam e os olhos que contemplam: uma análise heideggeriana sobre o pensar técnicoThe eyes that calculating and the eyes that contemplate: a heideggerian analysis of technical thinkingarticle10.7443/problemata.v7i2.28510
