The treatments were: a reference diet, and four test diets containing the addition of two concentrations of aqueous extract of são caetano melon (0.3 and 0.5%) and two concentrations of jucá extract (0.3 and 0.5 %). The experiment lasted 119 days, with seven days for the birds to adapt to the experimental diets and four cycles of 28 days for data collection. The following variables were evaluated: laying percentage (%), egg weight (EW), egg mass (EM), feed intake (FI), feed conversion per dozen eggs (FC/DE), feed conversion per egg mass. eggs (FC/EM). The data were subjected to analysis of variance and Tukey test, with differences considered significant at a 5% probability level, using the statistical package, SISVAR. There was no effect on laying percentage, egg weight, egg mass and feed conversion per egg mass (P>0.5), however, an increase in feed consumption and a worsening of feed conversion per dozen eggs (P< 0.5). It is concluded that the inclusion of 0,3% and 0,5% são caetano melon and 0,5% jucá extracts in the layer diet did not affect egg production, but increased feed consumption and, consequently, feed conversion per dozen eggs produced.aditivos fitogênicos, desempenho de aves, extrato aquoso, jucá, melão de são caetanoaditivos fitogênicos, desempenho de aves, extrato aquoso, jucá, melão de são caetanophytogenic additives, poultry performance, aqueous extract, jucá, são caetano melon.phytogenic additives, poultry performance, aqueous extract, jucá, são caetano melon.Avaliação de plantas medicinais sobre o desempenho para poedeira comerciaisEvaluation of medicinal plants on performance for commercial layersbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS
