In light of this, this study aimed to identify the advantages and disadvantages of remote electric guitar teaching, as well as contribute to music education by exploring aspects related to music teaching in this modality. Data collection was done through a semi-structured questionnaire applied to five remote electric guitar teachers who graduated from the technical course at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN, who teach instrument practice in remote courses in an informal manner. The research found that the teachers achieved positive results in remote format classes. However, some disadvantages of this teaching modality can also be identified, such as the fact that students may develop habits that would be easily identified in face-to-face instruction. Despite this, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, mainly due to the convenience, financial savings, and time saved in commuting. Therefore, it can be concluded that this research was very positive in investigating the opinions and experiences of some electric guitar teachers in the city of Natal-RN regarding remote teaching.Ensino RemotoGuitarra ElétricaEducação à DistânciaGuitarra - Instrução e estudioO ensino da guitarra elétrica na modalidade de ensino remoto: um estudo com professores de Natal-RNThe teaching of the electric guitar in the remote teaching modality: a study with teachers from Natal-RNbachelorThesis
