This work aims to simulate a simple vapor compression refrigeration cycle using R410A refrigerant. The focus of this study involves investigating, by using the software Coolpack, the sensitivity of the coefficient of performance (COP) of a refrigeration cycle in relation to various operating and design parameters: evaporation and condensation temperatures, superheating and subcooling, pressure drops in the evaporator, condenser, suction, discharge, and liquid line, as well as the isentropic efficiency of the compressor. The acquired results show that the coefficient of performance (COP) of the refrigeration cycle operating with R410A is strongly influenced by the variation of the evaporation and condensation temperatures, and the isentropic efficiency of the compressor.
