The region has a warm semi-arid climate and a xerophilic vegetation, mainly arboreous. Only during the last ten years effective human occupation had taken place, out of the main roads, on the track of recently bored wells, fact that justifies the actual sobrevivence of some mammals, now restricted to some narrow areas far from the crops.
