Gênero e raça no telejornalismo potiguar: o espaço da mulher negra nos telejornais do RN. 2022. 68f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Jornalismo), Departamento de Comunicação Social, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/45986Journalism is a powerful tool in the construction of the notion of reality (PEREIRA JUNIOR; CORREIA, 2007), and by placing the black individual only in spaces of violence, misery and subalternity, it reinforces racist stereotypes in the popular imagination, making the insertion of black journalists difficult in this market (CASSEB, 2020). Bearing in mind the ethnic composition of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, television journalism from the state of Rio Grande do Sul should have ethnically diverse teams, taking into account that more than 57% of the state's population declares itself to be black or brown, but what we observe is the absence of black women in front of the cameras. This research analyzed the historical and social context that puts black women in a disadvantaged position and how this phenomenon affects such professionals within the telejournalism of the three main stations in Natal-RN. The methodology used was bibliographic research (MACEDO, 1996) and quantitative research (MICHEL, 2005) whose results showed tiny, but tortuous, participation of black women in local telejournalism.TelevisãoRacismo MidiáticoDiversidadeMulher PretaTelejornalismo PotiguarGênero e raça no telejornalismo potiguar: o espaço da mulher negra nos telejornais do RNbachelorThesis
