We carried out a qualitative bibliographic seeking to understand racism in its different aspects: the context in which it was originated, consolidated, “naturalized and camouflaged, considering the point of viewe of the discriminated and oppressed black, and not just that of the oppressive white. The presence of these myths was identified in the daily life in the teachaers‟ room, evidenced the presence of these ideas in those who should be responsible for eradicating them. We understood that this was due to a general problem of insufficient training of us teachers, both due to the lack of preparation in African History, as well as a direct reflection on them in the context of our training. We faced the problem through a group made up of professors from the Culture and Society Area, selecting readings that would lead us to a new awareness of the problem and strengthen us in our classrooms, thus strengthening our students. We apply this study to the analysis of the Didactic Book of history for the four-year period 2020-2023 and to the criticism of the way in which it approaches the History of Africa and of Afro-descendants, identifying any gaps and distortions present in its contents with the aim of enhancing it as a instrument to combat racism and to build an anti-racist consciousness in the school environment.
