It is a sociocultural space for events, food and the sale of handicrafts. Thus, the present study aims to “Conduct an analysis of the Santá Cultural Complex and its possibilities for appropriation by cultural tourism and as a way of promoting the socioeconomic development of artisans in Santa Cruz/RN.” The following methodological instruments were used in the research: bibliographical survey on the subject of the study, application of a questionnaire and filling out a form. The theoretical framework articulates the concepts of cultural tourism and handicrafts. During the analysis of the data obtained, it is possible to observe the characteristics of the physical structure and the associations that sell within the Santá Cultural Complex. The results obtained in the research demonstrate the potential of the space and its possible obstacles for its low utilization.
