The Brazilian Norms for the Marketing of Foods for Infants (NBCAL) were created to protect breastfeeding. The present work sought to evaluate the fulfillment of the NBCAL by commercial establishments in municipalities of Rio Grande do Norte (RN), through their posts and disclosures made in social media of free access. The 48 establishments identified that sold items identified by the NBCAL were divided into: pharmacies/drugstores, supermarkets/markets, bakeries and stores that sell children's products. According to the analysis of the results, 37.5% (n=18) of the establishments observed made inadequate publications regarding the NBCAL, showing that compliance with the Standard is not satisfactory, and this is directly linked to the dissemination and commercialization carried out on these products.
