The objective of the work is to present the main characteristics of this new distribution, its properties and inferential aspects, and the behavior of the distribution from the perspective of survival analysis, in addition to its applicability in data with a high frequency of zeros, being its main differentiating aspect. Introductory concepts of survival analysis will be presented, such as the failure rate function and the graphical behavior of this function known as the bathtub curve. Next, the fundamental characteristics of the new Nadarajah-Haghighi distribution, the parametric estimation using the maximum likelihood method and the methodology used in data simulation will be presented.
