In this context, in our empiric study we sought to understand how factors such as mortality, unpredictability, socioeconomic context and populational density might explain variation in reproductive strategies in a Brazilian sample. 152 students responded to questionnaires, and we found evidences that local mortality rates, parental unpredictability during childhoold and current unpredictability beliefs predict behavioral life history markers such as reproductive effort, idealized offspring quantity, age of first reproduction and commited relationship duration. Our results partially corroborate current literature about the interaction between environment and life history strategies development.
