Therefore, it seeks to identify if the undergraduate on Law, at UFRN, campus Natal, prepares the students to interpret the Law applying what we call “gender lens” - which can perceive gender, race and class inequalities combined. In this context, the theme comes from the need to foment engaged law practices against the discriminations of gender, race and class, in addition to an approximation between the feminist movements and the legal field. Hence, we work with the hypothesis that there still isn’t a formation established in this manner, but that the Research Group in Law, State and Feminisms (DEFEM), founded in 2019, expresses the beginning of a change. Accordingly, this monograph initially realizes a bibliographic research, where we intend to define what it means to interpret law applying a gender perspective, and how the legal education in undergraduate could promote this formation. Subsequently, we conduct a field research, through the application of two questionnaires: 1. with students entering the course between the first semester of 2017 and 2020; 2. with researchers from the group DEFEM. The analysis of the results obtained allows us to construct a comprehension of how the contact with subjects of feminisms and gender during the graduation contributes to the formation of jurists engaged with the gender lens, as well as if there is some item from the tripod teaching, research and extension that stands out in terms of working with these thematics.
