Therefore, this study aims to identify the general panorama of socio-emotional skills in higher and/or technical education in Brazil. To this end, it takes the form of an integrative literature review carried out in the LILACS and SCIELO Brasil databases, in the period from September 2023 until May 2024. The selection of included references was supported by the PRISMA checklist. The search strategy “Socio-emotional skills” was applied in both bases, enabling the selection of eight references for data extraction after applying the filters. These studies made it possible to identify that: socio-emotional skills have been poorly addressed in the training process of higher and technical education institutions; These competencies influence the development of personality in the teaching-learning process, as well as universities must align pedagogical projects to contemplate these competencies, rethink pedagogical strategies, enable permanent education activities for teachers and disseminate support projects for students that emphasize these skills, which are essential to the individual in the work and personal context. Coping strategies, soft skills and socio-emotional skills are worked on and developed during childhood, primary and secondary education, however, in higher education these skills do not present continuity.
