Telerreabilitação e fisioterapia presencial: uma análise qualitativa das experiências de pessoas com doença de Parkinson. Orientadora: Tatiana Souza Ribeiro. 2024. 34 f. Physical therapy plays a crucial role, providing preventive and moderating effects on the course of the disease. Following the onset of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic, Telerehabilitation (TR) emerged as a new approach to delivering care. Objective:To analyze the experiences of patients with PD regarding a TR protocol and in-person group physical therapy using a qualitative approach. Methods:Participants were randomly divided into two groups: the Experimental Group (n=6), which received group physical therapy remotely via Google MeetⓇ, and the Control Group (n=5), which received the same treatment in person. The intervention protocol lasted 16 weeks, with weekly sessions of 1 hour each, totaling 16 sessions. During the intervention period, the focus alternated between two protocols: Protocol A emphasized global muscle strengthening, while Protocol B focused on balance, gait, and motor coordination training. Qualitative evaluation was conducted during the follow-up phase of the study, 2 months after the end of the interventions, through a semi-structured interview. The reports were transcribed and analyzed using Bardin's Content Analysis. Results and Conclusions:Both groups reported positive experiences, with beneficial impacts on their lives. These findings suggest that both telerehabilitation and in-person group physical therapy are viable therapeutic alternatives for individuals with PD. It is recommended that the choice between TR and in-person physical therapy considers patients' individual preferences and includes appropriate adaptations to optimize the experience.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/TelerreabilitaçãoFisioterapiaDoença de ParkinsonTelerreabilitação e fisioterapia presencial: uma análise qualitativa das experiências de pessoas com doença de ParkinsonTelerehabilitation and in-person physiotherapy: a qualitative analysis of the experiences of people with Parkinson's diseasebachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FISIOTERAPIA E TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL
