Óbitos evitáveis em crianças menores de cinco anos no Brasil: um estudo ecológico. 2023. 32 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Enfermagem), Departamento de Enfermagem, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/55805Infant mortality in children up to five years of age is a sensitive indicator of the quality of a country's health system and socioeconomic conditions. In Brazil, as in many parts of the world, infant mortality continues to be a significant challenge, although notable progress has been made in recent decades. The objective is to identify the profile of preventable deaths in children under five years of age in Brazil. This is an ecological study, it refers to the analysis of data collected at a population level, with general data on infant mortality over time, without specifically considering individual information about each child. The results show that the main causes of death in this age group include acute infections and vaccine-preventable diseases. Lack of access to qualified healthcare services, basic sanitation, clean water and education on hygiene practices are direct contributors to the increase in preventable deaths in childrenAttribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/Crianças; Óbitos; Mortalidade InfantilHealth; Children; Infant MortalityÓbitos evitáveis em crianças menores de cinco anos no Brasil: um estudo ecológicoAvoidable deaths in children under five in Brazil: an ecological studybachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE
