In this sense, the adoption of the agile Scrum method in IT projects becomes essential for companies seeking competitiveness and efficiency in the development of new products. However, transitioning from traditional project management methods to agile methods can present challenges and difficulties that need to be identified and overcome to ensure project success. Therefore, this work aims to identify the main challenges faced in implementing the agile Scrum method in IT projects. To achieve this, a systematic review of recent literature was conducted through qualitative research to gather information from case studies that could contribute to addressing the issue. For the execution of this study, an advanced article search was conducted in four databases, considering publications from the last 5 years. The research reveals that the most impactful challenges are related to organizational culture, resistance to change, lack of understanding of Scrum, team inexperience, duration of sprints and meetings, participation in daily meetings, constant changes in scope, and conflicts of roles and responsibilities.
