To this end, the actions and management activities carried out in the semi-intensive farming of marine shrimp Penaeus vannamei were described, specifically in earthen ponds at the M.S.D. Diógenes Pinto Farm, located at Fazenda Janduir, in the municipality of Macau, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. This report includes a description of the farm’s physical layout and infrastructure, as well as the monocycle farming system adopted, which is characterized by low technology input. The earthen ponds used range in size from 3,700 to 6,000 m² and are stocked with newly metamorphosed post-larvae at a density of 8 to 10 post-larvae per square meter. The report also details the management practices applied throughout the cultivation process, such as: pond preparation for stocking; pH correction; preparation and maintenance of sluice gates; pond filling and drainage; and the transportation, acclimatization, transfer, and stocking of the post-larvae. Furthermore, all the protocols adopted during shrimp growth are described, including feeding, monitoring of water physicochemical parameters, and shrimp biometrics. Regarding the feeding procedures in particular, the report outlines the type of feeding management used, the daily feed quantity provided, and the water exchange practices.
