Objective: To analyze the incidence of respiratory diseases classified by the ICD-10 in the northeast region of Brazil between the years of 2013 and 2017. Methods: Descriptive, population based study, analyzing respiratory diseases in northeast of Brazil. Data were extracted from the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS), analyzed, number of hospitalizations total and stratified by year, age, sex and classification of the disease according to ICD-10. Results: The RD that had the highest incidence of reported cases in hospital admissions were Pneumonia followed by influenza, with a higher prevalence in males older than 80 years. Bahia was the state with the highest incidence of ICD-10 diseases. Conclusion: The Northeast region presented a high incidence of respiratory diseases between 2013 and 2017, especially pneumonia.
