Descrição do comportamento de fases e volumétrico de sistemas aquosos contendo dióxido de carbono e eletrólitos à altas pressões: dados experimentais e modelagem termodinâmica. 2019. 69f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Engenharia Química) - Departamento de Engenharia Química, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/38886Phase equilibrium modeling of aqueous systems containing carbon dioxide, sodium chloride and monoethylene glycol is required for the simulation and design of natural gas treatment processes. Density experimental data at phase equilibrium is necessary for the proper equations of state (EoS) parameterization allowing the description of system behavior. For this, a high pressure equilibrium cell with sapphire window, which allows a pressure range of 6 to 31 MPa and temperatures up to 393 K coupled to a digital oscillatory tube densimeter, was used to obtain density data at equilibrium for the systems. Experiments were carried out at temperatures of 293.15 and 323.15 K. Sodium chloride tests were carried out at concentrations of 1 and 4 molal and saturation. Concentrations of 30, 50 and 80 wt% were used for the monoethylene glycol. For the thermodynamic modeling two equations of state were evaluated: Soave Redlich-Kwong (SRK) and Cubic Plus Association (CPA). Peneloux volume translation in SRK model was also studied. For CPA EoS, the influence of the carbon dioxide association scheme on the model descriptive capacity was evaluated. The results show that the SRK EoS does not satisfactorily describe the phase equilibrium of these systems, requiring the coupling of the CPA term. Although Peneloux volume translation implies the improvement in the description of the volumetric behavior, the observed gains were not significant.
