Considering the lack of experience in the performing arts world, could the Literatura de Cordel be used as a tool to improve the learning process, just like happened in the northwestern countryside, when the twine literature served as instrument to literacy to the people? In this perspective, the telling of this experience, named “The Cicle of the bamboozled Dionysus and the battles of Fafá: twine literature and the intertextuality in the theater degree” that comprehends the twine literature written to the following subjects: Dramaturgy I, II and III; History of Theater II and II; Costumes and Makeup; Scenography I; Street Theater; Theater and Brazilian Culture, aiming to show that the Literatura de Cordel - the final product-, but also the research made for all the pieces of twine literature that became learning elements. So, in the art field, while object of investigation, the present work stands, because not only the final result – the twine literature made for subjects – that matters, but the long way traveled to write it. This work’s theoretical contribution is composed by the knowledge of Paulo Freire, Bakhtin e Paul Valéry.
