Researchs indicate that these habits, in addition to genetic and environmental factors, are onde of the main causes of the appearence of tumores that manifest in the human body, such as smoking tobacco and its passive exposure. However, despite this information being consolidated, it is still necessary to study the relationship between how each patient’s lifestyle influences the development of cancer taking into account the therapeutic protocol to which he is submitted. In this sense, this study aims to evaluate the habits of patients with lung cancer and head and neck cancer treated with platinum derivates, more specifically Cisplatin and Carboplatin, drugs routinely used in the first line of treatment for these types of tumors. An observational and prospective study was performed through the collection of data through pharmacotherapeutic anamnesis, based on the Dáder method with quantitative approaches. The research universe consists of 79 patients from the hospitals Liga Norte Riograndense Conta o Câncer and Hospital do Coração located in Natal/RN, treated between May 2018 and March 2020.The participants were interviewed through questionnaires that contained general questions about their behavioral habits such as alcoholism, smoking, physical activity and diet restriction. An alignment can be noted between the data obtained during the research and the information contained in the literature about the relationship between these types of cancer and the risk factors linked to the patient’s social practices during life.
