Objective: to identify food and nutritional education strategies used with elementary school students in the early years of public schools and verify whether the themes are in line with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health/Protocol for the Use of the Food Guide for the Brazilian Population in Guidance Nutrition for Children aged 2 to 10 years. Methods: integrative review, using the PRISMA protocol (2020), in online databases (PubMed/MEDLINE; LILACS and SciVerse Scopus). Results: ten studies were identified, with nineteen EAN strategies, but without details. Pedagogical garden was the main strategy (60%), followed by events (30%), music (30%) and traditional approach to curricular subjects (30%). The themes partially covered the recommendations of the protocol, highlighting the encouragement of the consumption of fruits and vegetables.
