The current example of this statement is found among digital information and communication technologies, which use screens as translators of digital information. In this way, the present integrative literature review, conducted through a search in the Virtual Health Library using the search syntax (Screen time) AND (child) OR (adolescent), aimed to identify the consequences of excessive screen use for brazilian children and adolescents. Seventeen brazilian articles of level 4 evidence comprised the results of this study.
