METHODOLOGY: This is a systematic review that is registered in the PROSPERO database (CRD42019116520), whose SR development followed the PRISMA Flowchart, pointing out all studies with resolved duplicates, excluded and included articles, given the eligibility criteria. The databases selected for the exploratory search were MEDLINE (via PubMed), Embase (via OVID), Scopus (via Elsevier), Education Resources Information Center (ERIC), Science Direct (via Elsevier), Web of Science-Main Collection (Clarivate Analytics), Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Studies (CENTRAL), LILACS (via Virtual Health Library), and ADOLEC (via Virtual Health Library). The entire article evaluation process was performed by two researchers, and in case of disagreement, a third component was inserted during the study. Furthermore, version 2 of the Cochrane Risk of bias (RoB 2.0) tool was applied to the randomized studies to assess the risk of bias, while the non-randomized studies did not undergo this process. RESULTS: A total of 5024 references were found, of which 342 studies were selected for full reading. After a careful screening, 16 articles were included in the current Systematic Review. The included studies presented interventions with positive effects on BMI and BMI z-score, waist circumference, and waist-stature ratio indicators.
