Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Educação, Trabalho e Inovação em Medicina) - Escola Multicampi de Ciências Médicas do Rio Grande do Norte, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2021.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/33416Introduction: The lives of people living with HIV / AIDS (PLWHA) have changed in recent years due to the emergence of antiretroviral therapy, however, it is more difficult to manage users who do not want or are unable to follow the guidelines on pharmacotherapeutic treatment. It is necessary to know what pharmaceutical care means and represents for these people. Objectives: The main objective of this study was to assess users' perception of pharmaceutical care performed in a specialized care service for HIV / AIDS STI. Methodology: This is a study with a quantitative approach, applied, descriptive, of the type of survey research on pharmaceutical care aimed at people living with HIV / AIDS attended by the service and residents in Caicó. Data were collected from interviews using structured questionnaires and used in later analyzes. Results: The study of the sociodemographic profile showed male (67.5%), white (55%), single (72.5%), living with family (60%), without a caregiver (87.5%), higher education (27.5%), employment (27.5%), family income below 01 minimum wage (37.5%) and do not receive sick pay (95%). Lifestyle revealed use of alcoholic beverages (37.5%), use of illicit drugs (7.5%), smoking (22.5%), practice of physical activity (72.5%), practice related to faith (80%) and recreational practice (75.0%). The study showed a high level of satisfaction and performance of the multidisciplinary team and the pharmacist. There was statistical significance between the warning from the multidisciplinary team to take the medication along with food and/or medication with education level (p = 0.004) and the pharmacist's recommendations about the side effects of a ninth medication and education level (p = 0.014). After analyzing the results and research, a pharmaceutical care record was developed. The knowledge obtained made it possible to obtain a clear image of the profile of the service provided and the development of medical records for pharmaceutical care. Final Considerations: Satisfaction with the PA was present for all patients studied. It is expected that the results of the research and the application of the medical record of pharmaceutical care conceived here can effectively contribute to improving the quality of life of PLWHA, as well as reaffirming the educational role of the pharmacist in humanized health care for each citizen.Acesso AbertoSAECuidado farmacêuticoHIV/AIDSSatisfaçãoA percepção dos usuários sobre o atendimento farmacêutico em um serviço de assisência especializada em IST HIV/AIDSmasterThesis
