Methods: this is a qualitative research, of the case study type, which used interviews with speech therapists from six cities in the metropolitan region of Natal-RN to produce the data. For the analysis, the technique of Content Analysis was used, having as theoretical reference the databases. Results: three categories emerged from the analysis: the role of the speech therapist in Primary Health Care; the speech therapist's perception of Primary Health Care in the covid-19 pandemic; attributes of Primary Health Care that were strengthened and weakened.
