The hybridization is discussed as a break with the idea of photography associated with mirroring the real, using the concept of mimesis debated by Plato in his book The Republic. With these intentions, the productions and experiments of contemporary artists were taken as a reference. Beyond this, the research aims to qualitatively investigate hybrid photography as a way of re signifying and transforming images, as well as analyzing the expansion of photographic language through these intervention processes, using authors such as Kossoy and Fernandes Junior. Thus, following the line of research on Visual Arts and, becoming necessary to encourage the production of documents about this great area in constant expansion that is photography.
