To this end, it places the work in the context of the composer's production and his affinity with the Armorial Movement (Nóbrega, 2000). The literary study of the poems is supported by studies by Berardinelli (2020), Cabral; Guaranha (2015), Lima (2007), Flores (2014) and Deífilo (1983). The relationship between text and music guides the interpretation with the support of the study by Stein and Spillman (1996) and La Rue (1989).
