Research strategy: We did na integrative review through five databases: Embase, LILACS, Pubmed/Medline, Scopus and Web of Science. And also the grey literature: Google Scholar, OpenGrey e ProQuest Teses e Dissertations. Selection criteria: We included articles available as full text in english, portuguese and Spanish, with no restriction for time of publication. Of 351 articles found, 26 met the elegibility criteria. Results: The articles contemplastes de role of the speech therapist orofacial motricity, voice, snoring and evaluation of the patients’ and physicians’ noticing of the speech therapist’s importance in the pre- and post-operative period. They were published between 2005 and 2020, for the most recente ones. There was a female gender predominance and the age ranged from 21 to 68 years old. The size of the sample studied ranged from 1 to 149 participants.
