A contação de história para crianças como prática educativa. 2024. 23 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Pedagogia EaD) - Centro de Educação, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Martins, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/61850This article aims to inform the reader about the importance of storytelling, which has been passed down from generation to generation and is still of utmost importance in the educational environment, thus facilitating better learning in the classroom, whether in writing or orally. This practice aims to encourage students and even teachers to adopt the habit of reading, leaving aside new technologies for a while and seeking to bring back an old but effective practice, which is reading a book. The focus is on encouraging readers to enjoy literature and experience what they are reading spontaneously, without being forced or having to do so as an obligation. It is important to understand that teachers must be prepared for this practice, always innovating and recycling themselves, seeking new methodologies and means that can attract the interest of students involved in the classroom. The work is based on authors who address the theme such as (ABRAMOVICH, 1997; RODRIGUES, 2015; PIAGET, 1968; FREIRE, 1989; among others). Its methodology includes several literary works that facilitate the insertion of reading practice into children's daily lives. A good reader is a good writer, a good writer becomes more refined and explanatory in his or her oral skills, becomes a more knowledgeable subject, who knows how to argue and transmit his or her ideology to contemporary society, since one of the fundamental roles of the educator is to form citizens. Thus, from early childhood education to elementary school I, the practice of storytelling, whether in a way that students just listen or where students are the storytellers themselves, is something that becomes inherent in their school life, a meaningful and effective learning experience.
