The work investigated the coverage of traditional vehicles in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul and nationwide, seeking to understand how the media reported the confusion. With a qualitative approach and using Content Analysis (Bardin, 2011), we identified patterns and trends in the way journalistic outlets dealt with the subject. Our results showed that journalistic coverage emphasizes sensationalist aspects, prioritizing events with greater visual impact, such as scenes of violence, and leaving the analysis of the structural causes of the problem in the background.
