Binocular disparity is a phenomenon where distinct colors are overlaid through some visual artifact and subsequently presented to the brain. In order to carry out this work, concepts were reviewed, such as: what color is, how we perceive colors, properties of electromagnetic waves, characteristics of the human eye, and neural pathways responsible for visual perception, with the purpose of presenting intervention methods that alter color perception. This research aims to explore binocular disparity in color perception and propose possibilities for exploring visual and cognitive perception of colors, artistic or graphic applications, thus expanding the range of existing possibilities. These experiments can contribute to the fields of design and communication. Secondary objectives include understanding aspects related to vision and color perception, including the survey of other approaches on the subject from authors who explore the topic. From there, it is believed that it is possible to propose other models of artifacts and/or devices to expose a little-explored phenomenon of vision.
