Caicó, RN, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/62412The present study aimed to diagnose the financial condition of the municipalities that comprise the Geopark Seridó from 2018 to 2023. For this purpose, the analysis model based on the Financial Trend Monitoring System (FTMS) was employed, which considers environmental, organizational, and financial factors. The data were obtained from accounting statements, such as the Annual Balance Sheet (DCA), the Summary Budget Execution Report (RREO), and the Fiscal Management Report (RGF), available in the Brazilian Public Sector Accounting and Fiscal Information System (SINCOFI), as well as from information provided by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the Ministry of Social Development and Assistance, Family and Fight Against Hunger (MDS), and the Rui Barbosa Institute (IRB). After being structured in spreadsheets, the data were analyzed using the proposed model. The results indicated that among the six municipalities of the Geopark Seridó, Acari, Currais Novos, and Parelhas stood out with a good financial condition, despite unsatisfactory performance in organizational factors. Carnaúba dos Dantas showed a neutral financial condition, with balanced performance in environmental factors, varied performance in financial factors, and unsatisfactory performance in organizational factors. Cerro Corá displayed a financial condition ranging from neutral to unsatisfactory, with predominantly unsatisfactory financial indicators and poor performance in organizational factors.
