Análise de domínio em Ciência da Informação: contribuição para o estudo dos novos movimentos sociais. 2021. 43f. Monografia (Graduação em Biblioteconomia) - Centro de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2021.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/40847This work aims to understand how Domain Analysis can be used by information professionals and researchers to contribute to the struggles of New Social Movements (NSM). In relation to the specific objectives, this work intends to: (I) Describe the characteristics and applications of Domain Analysis in Information Science; (II) Understand the members of the New Social Movements as producers and informational subjects and (III) Reflect on the applications of Domain Analysis to contribute to the demands of social movements. For this, it uses as theoretical support the Domain Analysis, developed by Birger Hjørland and Hanne Albrechtsen, in 1995, which considers discursive communities as part of the social division of labor. Domain is understood as the entanglement of relationships between documents, communication channels, production and communication practices, concepts, social relationships between members, the way they are structured and organized in a social context. The investigation consists of bibliographical research, of a qualitative nature, which uses the production of researchers already established in the area to justify the expansion of Domain Analysis from the scientific field to the social field. It shows that, beyond the scientific fields, the New Social Movements, and the perceptions of the members of these groups, endowed with feelings and anxieties, can be materialized, and transformed into information, making it possible to relate the Domain Analysis with the New Social Movements, as a community discursive. As results, the characteristics and applications of Domain Analysis in information science are described. It also analyzes how the New Social Movements become producers and consumers of information. From the creation of categories, examples of communication channels used by NSM in Brazil are pointed out. The study presented categories according to three types of communication channels a) formal channels: Scientific Journal, NGO Sites; b) semi-formal channels: Call center, Conferences, lectures and national meetings developed by federal agencies, and c) informal channels: social media. By identifying categories and communication channels, it was shown that the NMS can be delimited as domains, with specific vocabularies and practices of production and circulation of information, susceptible to be studied by information professionals. As a third result, the research reflects on some applications of domain analysis to contribute to the demands of social movements, such as the implementation of information policies aimed at specific audiences and the use of knowledge organization systems that help to minimize discriminatory practices. Finally, it considers, based on the elements presented, that the New Social Movements constitute an important domain that can become an object of study for the social development of Information Science.Informação e sensibilidadeMovimento antirracistaMovimento FeministaMovimento LGBTQ+Análise de domínioInformation and sensitivityAnti-racist movementFeminist movementLGBTQ+ movementDomain analysisAnálise de domínio em Ciência da Informação: contribuição para o estudo dos novos movimentos sociaisDomain analysis in Information Science: contribution to the study of new social movementsbachelorThesis
