Objective: To understand women’s knowledge about contraceptive methods. Methodology: This is a descriptive study, of a qualitative nature, and an approach through participatory research, it was developed with women of childbearing age in a UBS in the city of Santa Cruz/RN. Data were collected through interviews and analyzed using the collective subject discourse technique. Results: From the analysis of the responses of individuals who participated in the study, the central ideas and anchors that had the same meaning, equivalent or complementary meaning were identified, and were grouped into two central categories, namely: a) Knowledge about of the contraceptive; b) Pregnancy.
