This work mainly focuses on the parametric analysis of the urban form and its impacts on the landscape, having as a study universe the fraction of territory known as Redinha Velha, situated at the homonymous neighborhood, in the Northern Region of Natal/RN. The main objective of this work is to comprehend the impacts of the urbanistic parameters of PDN 22 in the landscape of Redinha from its parametrization. To reach such a goal, the research adopts a parametric urbanism approach, using 3D modeling tools and simulations to visualize different building density scenarios and their effects on the landscape. Specifically, the present work explores the concepts of urban landscape, density, and urban form, and develops a spatial analysis of Redinha Velha, addressing the physical and environmental characteristics, with emphasis on the distinct ecosystems and landscape attributes of its site, as well as the implications of the new regulatory framework in its protection. The methodology employed is based on parametric urbanism, that allows us to explore and represent the current urban form of Redinha Velha, besides testing diverse hypothetical scenarios of building density. Through simulations, different scenarios are generated to illustrate the possible urban configurations resulting from the changes in the urbanistic parameters.
