Trabalho de conclusão de curso (Graduação em Serviço Social) - Departamento de Serviço social, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/50720The present study deals with the Supervised Internship in Social Work, in the context of Emergency Remote Teaching (ERE) and the COVID-19 pandemic, with the objective of analyzing the conditions for carrying out the Mandatory Supervised Internship of the Social Work Course at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), in the hybrid format, in the scenario of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. This is an exploratory research with a quantitative and qualitative approach, using historical-dialectical materialism as a method, based on a reading critique of the real, in understanding the socio-historical determinations of reality beyond its immediate appearance. It focuses on carrying out bibliographical studies that give theoretical support to the problem and document analysis in secondary sources. From the woven reflections, we understand the formation trends and the contemporary challenges inherent to the Supervised Internship, above all, in the implementation of the Course Curriculum Guidelines and the National Internship Policy, in the face of the context of dismantling public higher education under the advance of capital in educational policies, from the privatization of higher education and the acceleration of training with the institution of Distance Education (EaD) models, associated with gaps in the teaching-learning process, in the apprehension of the theory/practice relationship and the gaps in the carrying out direct supervision. In the “new normal”, Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) took place in all dimensions of social life, replacing face-to-face reality with virtual reality, especially in education with the advent of Emergency Remote Teaching (ERE).
