Influência da Falha Poço Verde-Caraúbas no desenvolvimento da caverna Furna Feia - Baraúnas/RN. 2022. 122 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Geologia) – Departamento de Geologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/46377The carbonate rocks of the Jandaíra Formation constitute the largest exposure of carbonate rocks in Brazil. It is important to know its fracturing patterns to identify carbonate reservoirs, whose studies were driven by the Discovery of the pre-salt layer. In this research, the Furna Feia Cave, inserted in the Jandaíra Formation, was used as an analogue of fractured carbonate reservoirs. Passive (SRTM) and active (Drone) remote sensing images were used to investigate regional (1:250.000) scale in the west portion of the Potiguar Basin and local (1:100) scale, on the overlying slab the Furna Feia cave, state of Rio Grande do Norte. The study evaluated the influence of the Poço Verde-Caraúbas fault and the Potiguar Rift faults, in the formation of local structures and their influence on karst development. For this, scanareas and scanlines were used, parameterizing density (P20), intensity (P21), connectivity, and fracture length. From this, lineaments oriented in the NW-SE, NE-SW, NS and WE directions were identified, with a predominance of the NW-SE and NE-SW directions on both scales, correlated with the Poço Verde - Caraúbas fault and the Potiguar Basin rift faults, respectively.bacia potiguarcaverna Furna FeiascanareascanlineFurna Feia cavepotiguar basingeologiageologyInfluência da Falha Poço Verde-Caraúbas no desenvolvimento da caverna Furna Feia - Baraúnas/RNInfluence of the Poço Verde-Caraúbas fault on the development of the Furna Feia cave - Baraúnas/RNbachelorThesis
