Transcranial direct currente stimulation (TDCS) is a non pharmacological therapeutic method that improves the painful condition of fibromyalgia through a modulation of the cerebral cortex applied in the M1 area. METHODS: A randomized controlled trial was carried out in 24 patients in two intervention groups: TDCS and TDCS SHAM, performed anthropometric and sociodemographic data, besides the application of questionnaires and the collection of the pain thresholds of Fibromyalgia with the algometer. Results: The TDCS improved the pain threshold in 3 points in the right hemisphere and 4 points in the left hemisphere. However, there was no difference in the analysis after the application of 5 days of TDCS when comparing the two hemodies. Clinically, pain improvement occurs equally in the 2 hemiforms in the active group. Conclusion: There was no statistical difference between the two hemiforms after the intervention in the left primary motor area (M1).openAccessFibromialgia, Dor crônica, Estimulação transcraniana por corrente continua.Fibromyalgia, Chronic pain, Transcranial current stimulation.Lateralidade da dor pós eletroestimulação transcraniana por corrente continua em pacientes com fibromialgiaLaterality of pain after current continuous curranial eletroestimulation in patients with fibromyalgiabachelorThesis
