Method: This is an integrative review following six stages. Searches were conducted in the data sources BVS, PubMed, CINAHL, COCHRANE, and Embase in June 2024. Results: The sample consisted of eight articles. Influencing factors for teaching patient safety to nursing undergraduates in Brazil were highlighted: the need for new active methodologies, gaps in academic training on the subject, the necessity for curriculum reform, lack of uniformity in the approach, and resistance from faculty.
