With this, there is a need to know its scope, as it is used in the scope of nursing. This study aimed to develop a protocol for carrying out a scoping review that can map the use of POCUS by nurses. It is a scoping review protocol, developed from the steps proposed by Arksey and O'Malley and Peters et al., theoretically based on the Joanna Briggs Institute manual and guided by the PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR). Multidisciplinary health science databases will be used: PubMed/Medline, LILACS via the Virtual Health Library, Scopus, CINAHL, Embase and Web of Science. For gray literature, Google Scholar and Capes Theses Bank will be used and OpenGrey. The study selection process will be guided by the steps proposed in the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA-P). The data will be conducted through an analysis of qualitative information, through the investigation of the subject of the studies.
