That said, the objective of this study was to analyze drug prescriptions within the scope of primary care in the city of Caicó-RN. To this end, a descriptive study was developed, from February to November 2021, based on the application of criteria from the Ministry of Health to duplicate prescriptions prepared in January 2021 by doctors working in the basic health units of that municipality. Data were analyzed via Microsoft Excel. A total of 180 prescriptions were analyzed, which contain a total of 335 medications (±1.86). The highest prevalence of non-compliance was related to allergy registration (100%); electronic prescription (99.4%); patient's date of birth (99.4%); non-pharmacological recommendations (98.9%) and guidelines on how to use the medication (74.4%). Regarding Ordinance No. 344/98, 3 criteria were applied to the prescriptions and all had 100% compliance. The most prescribed drug classes were Group C (cardiovascular system) (22.99%), followed by Group J (anti-infectives for systemic use) (20.3%), A (digestive system and metabolism) (16, 12%) and N (nervous system) (15.52%).
