At this juncture, a condition called Caregiver Role Tension was instituted. Objective: To verify the clinical indicators of the Nursing Diagnosis “Caregiver role tension” described in the literature. Methodology: This is a systematic review of diagnostic accuracy, carried out in November 2022, following the recommendations of the Joanna Briggs Institute, its protocol was registered and approved in the Prospective International Register of Systematic Reviews, with the registration number: CRD42022377411 . QUADAS-2 was used to assess the risk of bias and study quality. The databases used were the US National Library of Medicine, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, SciVerse Scopus, CINAHL with Full Text, PsycINFO and 48 journal articles were included for quantitative synthesis in this review. Results: The clinical indicators found were depressive symptoms (31%), anxiety (23%), emotional disturbance (20%), deterioration of physical health (13%), fatigue (13%), anguish (10%), interruption of sleep pattern (8%), irritability (9%) and role conflict (6%). The set of findings indicate that, under the circumstances and limitations defined in this research, the verification of clinical indicators for the diagnosis of Caregiver Role Tension has the potential to advance scientific knowledge about human responses through the casualties experienced by caregivers.
