Its stimulation can improve reproductive parameters and generate a pleasurable sensation, providing a state of animal well-being to females. Thus, the purpose of the present work is to investigate the effects of different intensities of clitoral stimulation on the physiological, ethological and reproductive parameters of sows. Twelve crossbred sows were used, distributed in a completely randomized design, containing 3 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were constituted as follows: T1 - manual massage (MM) for 5.0 minutes; T2 – MM for 1.0 minute and intense mechanical stimulation (EM) for 5.0 minutes and T3 – MM for 1.0 minute and EM stimulation for 10 minutes. Stimulation was performed after post-cervical insemination. The physiological parameters: heart rate (BPM), respiratory rate (rpm) and temperatures of the eye (right and left), mammary gland and perianal region do not demonstrate statistically significant effects (P>0.5). However, effects of using clitoral stimulation on rear flank temperature were observed in treatment 2 (T2). The reproductive variables: conception rate and total number of piglets born, also did not differ statistically (P>0.5); however, there was a tendency towards an increase in the number of piglets in treatment 2. Ethological data indicate that intense mechanical stimulation intensifies reproductive behaviors, which in (T2) were observed higher frequencies of behaviors beneficial to reproduction and animal welfare , which may indicate a state of excitement in the animal. In this context, it is concluded that the use of manual massage for 1.0 minutes with mechanical massage for 5 minutes (T2) brings numerous benefits, and is therefore the most recommended.CC0 1.0 Universalhttp://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/ReproduçãoReproductionComportamentoBehaviorTermografiaThermographyBem-estar animalAnimal welfareMovimentos respiratóriasRespiratory movementsFrequência cardíacosHeart rateAvaliação do bem-estar animal através dos parâmetros: fisiológicos, comportamentais e reprodutivos de matrizes suínas submetidas à estimulação clitórianaEvaluation of animal welfare through the following parameters: physiological, behavioral and reproductive of pig sows submitted to clitoral stimulationbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS
