The objective of the research is to analyze the contributions of theater teaching in the subject's learning and training process, through the theater of the oppressed, encouraging them to identify the themes of oppressive situations and their possible solutions, promoting reflections for a Critical Education. The methodological path was Action Research, which provides students with better preparation for real actions, in their daily and social existence, and Literature Review in articles studied during the UFRN ProfArts Master's courses, and official Education documents. In this context, we dialogue with the pedagogy of the oppressed, which proposes an emancipatory dialogic education of the oppressed, through reflection, with Games for actors and non-actors, and the theater of the oppressed, which enabled students to have a voice, recognizing the situations that oppressed them, and collectively building possible changes to these oppressions. During this process of pedagogical practice, we identified some oppressive situations, among them, one that caused the greatest concern, racism. Therefore, the readings of the works of Structural Racism, Small Antiracist Manual, and What is place of speech? Contributed to the dialogical exercise on the issues of: identity, memory, ancestry, prejudice, discrimination and racism. Finally, we carry out collective construction during the process of creating the theatrical presentation: Am I racist?
