The aim is to achieve the rehabilition of the criminal to society, inspired by an efficient management model which respects the grounds of the brazilian law of criminal executation and the human rights provided for in the Federal Constitution. The study arose because of a concern arising from the imminent collapse of the Brazilian criminal system, in which barbarism and human indignity prevail.This is why the principle of efficiency, which comes from a modernizing state reform, emerges as a guideline to promote a true transformation in the Brazilian prison system.
