This study was carried out in a rectangular mini-oven located in the Forestry Experimental Area of ​​the Forestry Engineering Course at the Jundiaí Agricultural School of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN. The firewood for carbonization was obtained from eucalyptus wood. Ten carbonizations were carried out to evaluate the performance of the furnace and determine the weight yields of charcoal and wood vinegar extract. The furnace is coupled with a condenser that rescues smoke to extract the wood vinegar, flowing condensation passing from the gaseous state to the liquid and a furnace that is equipped with a smoke burner to burn those gases that have not been condensed and instead After being released into the atmosphere, they are burned, making it a more sustainable way of producing charcoal. In the thermal profile, the collection was determined by inserting a probe into the side of the chimney and measuring the temperature obtained using a digital tariff. The temperature in the chimney was measured without fixed time intervals until the end of carbonization.
