Preventive maintenance is therefore extremely important, as it guarantees the proper long-term functioning of the substation's equipment, in order to avoid interruptions in its operation. It also reduces the recurring cost of buying new equipment, which is often quite expensive, and avoids putting the lives of those who manage it at risk. By studying UFRN's power substations, this work aims to develop a telemetry system, which has the main objective of helping with preventive maintenance, as well as enabling more immediate action on more urgent problems. This system consists of the application of the Internet of Things, using the ESP8266 microcontroller, various sensors and the ThingSpeak online platform.
