This plan is the result of an extension program in the area of health and school nutrition developed by teachers and students of the FACISA-UFRN Nutrition Course between the years 2014 and 2018 in the municipal education network of Santa Cruz-RN . More specifically, this book is the result of the extension project “Formulation of the Strategic Plan for Combating Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases in Schoolchildren Santa Cruz-RN” which aimed to collectively develop the Strategic Plan for Combating Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases in Schoolchildren of Santa Cruz-RN. The methodological proposal was structured with focus groups in all urban schools in the city in two cycles. The process of creating the plan linked a broad diagnosis of the health of the students and their FNS condition and health education actions that aim to reduce the health problems encountered. The presentation of the plan and the consultation of the first part of it took place in November 2018 at the II FACISA School Health Symposium where it received suggestions and had its methodology evaluated.
