The CIEVS/RN was structured in 2007 and its main purpose is to monitor a set of diseases and conditions that, due to their high potential for dissemination and/or risks to public health, require monitoring by health professionals in the municipalities. Given this importance, the objective of this study was to develop an information and communication technology that would help in the analysis and dissemination of indicators on diseases and conditions of immediate notification, produced by the Center for Strategic Information on Health Surveillance of the Public Health Secretariat of Rio Grande do Norte (CIEVS/SESAP-RN). Using a qualitative study of the Action Research type as methodology for the analysis and qualification of data received from the health services network of the municipalities of RN, by CIEVS/SESAP/RN, carried out in 3 stages: definition of the theoretical framework, construction and validation of the content of the input form in the information and communication technology and its instructions (one of the products of this study), through the Delphi technique and construction of an information system that will have as output a monitoring panel (another product of the study). After the application of the technological tool, it is expected that it will be possible to improve, facilitate, strengthen and qualify the work of the professionals of CIEVS/RN, guaranteeing the visibility and quality of the information made available by this tool, in addition to making it possible for managers and professionals to have access in a practically immediate manner to recognize the local situation and take actions and measures to prevent and promote the health of the population.
